If repetition be the mother of learning… then Rahul is a fast learner….he has come a long way from the time when we complained that he was the least heard politician, a position that is now held by Manmohan Singh. No more is he a speaker who had been thrust on the stage to mouth lines he had not rehearsed well. Today he’s a confident stage performer who smiles, speaks with confidence and pauses at the right points too ..one little hitch .. he repeats himself far too often.
At two election rallies in Rajasthan on October the 23rd in Churu and Kherli (Alwar)—Rahul reminded the people of his Daadi, Indira. Both the speeches, which were almost identical in terms of content and delivery, right down to the pauses and emotional effects.
At the same rally October 23, 2013, Churu, Rajasthan talking about the building of raods Rahul said , “While BJP only talks about roads, the Cong led UPA has not only built three times more roads than them but has also given employment, food security and land rights…through laws on food security, MGNREGA & land acquisition”.
This was a copy of what he said at a rally on October the 17th in Shahdol in MP. Here he said, “During five years of NDA rule, 2,650 km of roads were laid. But during the same period, with UPA at the helm, 9,750 km of roads were built”.
At the same rally talking about the granting of talking about the distribution of tickets Rahul said,”The biggest lacunae in our country is in the political system. Be it of BJP, Congress, BSP and SP. This system is run by 300 to 400 people. I want that in coming years, the system should be run by lakhs of youths”.
Talking on the same matter at a meeting on the 27th of August in Delhi Rahul said,”When it comes to ticket distribution, only a few people decide tickets in all political parties. In Congress about 100, in BJP 60-70, SP three and BSP one… I want to change the…system…
Rahul is repeating himself far too often….why? Is this in order to sound consistent, has he lost his speech writer to the opposition, many a time now they sound like the erstwhile Congress or is he just content that he is saying something now… Either way someone tell Rahul Gandhi repeating the same is a mistake and does not make for good oratory.
Oh!! no one there to tell Rahul Baba , pity!.

The Modi tattoo sold by the thousand at Garba venues across Gujarat on the occasion of Navratri , just add to the Modi Modi Modi marketing mantra that has taken India by storm. Like in Bollywood ‘Politics’ too has realized that if you are to win at the box office, read the 2014 elections in this case it’s going to be all about marketing blitzkrieg.. and OMG the BJP certainly has got that down to the tee. Never in the history of India has a politician been branded, packaged and promoted as much as Narendra Modi.
Influnce is the way to win elections. Up until 2014 it was about money and muscle and the media … but this time round it’s also about online persuasion. This has been brought to the notice of the Election Commission (EC) too. The EC is presently examining how to get social media within the purview of the model code of conduct for the coming elections. This is based on a complaint to the commission by a rights organization. They have cited the purchase of Facebook “likes” and paid tweets as methods of election campaign by some parties and candidates this time round. The organization seeks greater scrutiny of election expenses incurred on campaigning through social media/internet.
Dear Mr Politician,
New Delhi, Dec. 17 : External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday stated that the recent acts of terror in Sydney and Peshawar was a clarion call for all those who believe in humanity to defeat terrorism, adding that India will always be ready to play its role in such an undertaking.
