After flagging the much awaited udhampur- katra train by PM narendra modi the pilgrims will from all across the nation will now be benefitted who visit the vaishno – Devi shrine .

Some key facts of this railway line :

1 PM modi suggested that the new train to be named as SHREE SHAKTI EXPRESS

2 The 25 km long UDHAMPUR – KATRA line , has been built at an estimated cost of ₹ 1132.75 cr

3 Two trains DELHI – KATRA express and KALKA – katra express will run on this section .

4 The tallest bridge on UDHAMPUR – KATRA section is 8.5 metres high and longest tunnel is 3.15 Kms long .

5 The station is also equipped with the latest modern facilities some of them like tourist guide centre , VIP lounge , escalators , lifts , ample parking space as it was a very challenging project as it had to pass through very hostile terrains .

IT is a facility not only for the people of JAMMU & KASHMIR but also for the people of India said PM MODI during his speech .
